Join me as I take you on a journey around some of the most beautiful tourist destinations in this amazing part of Spain called Andalucía.
Granada (Alhambra)
This city offers amazing opportunities and culture from being able to go from sandy beaches to skiing in the same day whilst passing amazing architecture on the way.
This is a image of the castle palace of Alhambra in Granada. It is located upon a single mountain peak with steep slopes making it easy to defend in its day.
You can also see the white skiing slopes of Sierra Nevada in the background. The ski resort is about one hour drive from the city Granada city centre.
Ronda (Puente Nuevo)
This mountain top town in Andalucía has spectacular views and architecture.
Ronda is most famous for the amazing bridge crossing in the middle of the town connecting the new town to the old 15th century old town over El Tajo gorge and river Guadalevín.
La Casa del Rey Moro is an amazing feet of engineering and history consisting of a water mine built in the 14th century to help defend Ronda by giving them access to water. It has beautiful French style gardens alongside a 18th century mansion. Tours of this site allows you access from the gardens all the way down through cliffside to the river’s edge at the bottom of the gorge.
There are also natural paths you can follow which take from the town down into the valley, under the bridge and follows the river Guadalevín.
Ronda has many lookout points to enjoy the views but the Mirador de Ronda is the most famous and located at the end of Alameda del Tajo Park.
Sevilla (Plaza de España)
This is the famous Plaza de España in the center of Sevilla. This building was constructed for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929 to help strengthen relations between Spain and the countries that took part.
This amazing piece of architecture is located at the heart of Seville at the end of the park called parque de María Luisa.
Around this building is a canal which offers a chance to rent row boats and sail around it during the summer. The canal has four bridges crossing it and all are decorated with traditional Spanish ceramic designs.
Covering the walls of the main building you will find all of the provinces of Andalucía displayed in individual sections including a map and a visual representation of the province itself.
Malaga (Mirador de Gibralfaro)
This magical port side city is the major tourist destination for people from around the world and with Malaga airport near by, it makes it even easier for people to visit.
The port also offers the chance for people to arrive by Cruise ship as the port is big enough to cater for such ships.
This city has many historical points and beautiful architecture from the Gibralfaro castle ruins atop the hill surrounding the city to the Roman Theatre ruins amazingly preserved inside the city center.
Marbella (Puerto Pesquero)
This fashionable port town of Marbella is a much loved travel destination for many people for many years because of its peaceful atmosphere, great beaches and general relaxed attitude to life.
In the Center of town you will find a Homage to the artist Pablo Picasso with some of his statues displayed on a boulevard which leads from the beach to the old town Alameda Park.
This growing town has two fishing ports. Puerto Pesquero is still used as a traditional fishing port where as Puerto Deportivo is furnished with bars and clubs and equipped more for the jet set lifestyle and tourists
